Installation

Step 1: Upload Extension Files

Upload the Helpcenter extension files to your Paymenter installation:

/var/www/paymenter/extensions/Others/Helpcenter/

Upload all Helpcenter files to extensions/Others/Helpcenter/ using SFTP or your preferred file transfer method.

Step 2: Enable Extension

Enable the extension in your Paymenter admin panel:

Admin Panel → Extensions → Others → Helpcenter → Enable

The extension will automatically run database migrations when enabled.

Configuration

Accessing the Knowledge Base Manager

After enabling the extension, a new Knowledge Base tab will appear in your admin sidebar. Click it to access the article and category manager.

Settings

Setting	Description
Enable Search	Allow users to search articles
Show View Count	Display article view counts
Enable Ratings	Allow users to rate articles as helpful
Articles Per Page	Number of articles to display per page

Creating Categories

1. Navigate to Admin Panel → Knowledge Base → Categories
2. Click Create Category
3. Enter category name and description
4. Set display order
5. Click Save

Creating Articles

1. Navigate to Admin Panel → Knowledge Base → Articles
2. Click Create Article
3. Select a category
4. Enter title and content (Markdown supported)
5. Set visibility (Published/Draft)
6. Click Save

Usage

For Customers

Customers can access the help center at:

https://yourdomain.com/helpcenter

Features available to customers:

• Browse articles by category
• Search for articles
• Rate articles as helpful
• Contact support if needed

For Administrators

• View article analytics in Knowledge Base → Analytics
• See most viewed articles
• Track helpful ratings
• Identify content gaps
