Quick Commands

One-click buttons above the console for the commands you send every day, set for every server or added by your users.

Requirements

  • Pterodactyl Panel v2.0 or newer (the extension system).
  • The user needs the server permission control.console to see and use the buttons.
  • Adding buttons to a server needs the Quick Commands permission as well.

Installation

The entire install happens in the Panel. There is nothing to upload to your nodes.

Step 1: Download the extension

Extract the product ZIP and keep both quick-commands-1.0.0.pteroext (the installable build) and quick-commands-source.zip (the editable source) if you want to customize the extension.

Step 2: Install in the Panel

  1. Sign in to your Panel as an administrator.
  2. Go to Admin → Extensions.
  3. Click Install and upload the .pteroext file.
  4. Toggle the extension on to enable it, then reload the page.

A Quick Commands card now appears above the console, and a Quick Commands item appears in the admin sidebar.

Alternative: install from the command line

php artisan p:extension:install quick-commands-1.0.0.pteroext --enable

Using Quick Commands

Default buttons

Go to Admin → Quick Commands and click New button. Default buttons show on every server, or only on servers using a chosen egg, so a Minecraft egg can get save-all and time set day while other games get their own buttons.

Buttons for one server

Above the console, click the pencil icon and then the plus icon to add a button. Buttons added here only show on that server. While editing, click one of these buttons to change or delete it, and click the check mark when you are done. Default buttons from the host cannot be changed from the server.

Button options

  • Label and Color (gray, blue or red) set how the button looks.
  • Commands takes one command per line, up to 10, sent in order with a short pause in between. A leading / is removed.
  • Write {player} or any other {name} in a command to ask for a value when the button is clicked, for example op {player} or give {player} diamond {amount}.
  • Ask for confirmation asks "Are you sure you want to ...?" before the commands are sent, which is useful for buttons such as stop.
  • Position sets the order of the buttons; lower numbers come first.

Run a button

Click a button to send its commands to the server console. Buttons that ask for a value open a small window to fill it in, and buttons with a confirmation ask if you are sure first. The server has to be running to receive commands.

Permissions

Using the buttons requires control.console. Adding, changing and removing the buttons of a server also requires the Quick Commands permission, which you can grant to sub users in the server's User editor. Default buttons are managed by administrators only.
