Maintenance Mode | Paymenter

Working on a live Paymenter install means visitors run into half finished pages, and closing the site with a webserver rule takes the payment webhooks down with it.

Maintenance Mode closes the site from inside Paymenter. You decide what closes, who keeps access and when it happens, and the parts that have to stay reachable stay reachable.

What it does

• Three rules per maintenance: close everything, close everything except the pages you list, or close nothing except the pages you list.
• Paths with wildcards, and matching on route name with route:name when a path is not specific enough.
• Scheduled or manual: a start and end time, or the Start now and Stop now buttons, with an advance notice to logged in customers.
• A proper closed page: visitors get a 503 with a Retry-After header and noindex, in your theme colours and without the navigation bar.
• Access for the people who need it: staff keep working, plus any extra roles, IP addresses and a secret bypass link you add.
• Never closed: payment webhooks, the admin panel, the login page and assets stay reachable throughout.
• Twenty settings, with all texts set per maintenance and falling back on the defaults.
• Runs on cron: maintenance:run every minute for scheduled windows. Admin path Configuration → Maintenance, with permissions for view and manage.
