Ensure full GDPR compliance and provide users with complete control over their personal data.
Description
If you bill anyone in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives them rights you have to honour: a copy of their data on request, deletion of their account, and a real choice about cookies. Handling that by hand, through tickets, is slow and easy to get wrong.
Privacy Tools adds those rights to the Paymenter client area as self service pages, so customers action them themselves and you keep a record that it happened.
What customers can do
- Export their data: download a complete copy of profile information, orders, activity logs, security data, support conversations, and billing records.
- Request account deletion: ask for permanent deletion or anonymisation, with an optional reason. Invoices and legally required billing records are kept, which is what compliance actually demands.
- Check a password against breaches: find out whether a password appears in known data breaches, with a count and a recommendation.
- Set cookie preferences: separate consent for essential, analytics, and marketing cookies, saved per account.
- Review account activity: a log of logins, password changes, and security events, which they can clear themselves.
Who needs this
Any hosting business with European or British customers. The obligation applies whether or not your company is based there, and "we handle it over email" is not a defence if you cannot show it was done.
