Industrial vs Luna v2 vs Citadel: Which Paymenter Theme Does the Most?

The two best-selling premium Paymenter themes against Industrial. We compared what each one lets you build, present, and sell, using live marketplace data.

Most Paymenter themes are a skin. They restyle the pages Paymenter already ships and that is where they stop. A storefront theme goes further: you build your own pages, decide how products are presented, and change the shop without a developer.

This compares the two best-selling premium Paymenter themes, Luna v2 and Citadel , against Industrial . All prices, ratings, and purchase counts come from the live marketplace listings on BuiltByBit, checked on 10 September 2026 , and we inspected all three public demos side by side. Where we could not verify something, we say so.

Disclosure: Industrial is our own theme. Luna v2 and Citadel are competitors, linked with our affiliate links. We checked their listings and demos directly rather than repeating marketing copy, and the section on what is not a differentiator applies to our own theme too.

The Short Answer

Industrial does the most for the money. At $24.99 it is the only one of the three that gives you a page builder, a product builder, and cart sign-in, and the only one that publishes exactly how much control you are buying: 276 settings, counted. Luna v2 and Citadel are both well-made designs, but that is what they are, designs. Neither publishes a settings count, and neither advertises any way to build a page.

The trade is straightforward. Luna v2 at $19.99 and Citadel at $25.00 have years of buyers behind them, and Industrial launched in September 2026. You are choosing between a proven look and a wider toolkit.

What Each One Actually Gives You

  Industrial Luna v2 Citadel
Page builder Yes Not advertised Not advertised
Product builder Yes Not advertised Not advertised
Cart sign-in Yes Not advertised Not advertised
Visual editor Yes Not advertised Not advertised
Settings count published Yes, 276 No No
Public demo Yes Yes Yes
Price $24.99 $19.99 $25.00
Purchases New release 236 201

"Not advertised" means the developer does not list the feature on the product page. It is not proof the feature is missing. None of the three exposes its admin panel publicly, so nobody can test these claims from the outside before buying.

Industrial: The Widest Toolkit

Industrial is our theme, so treat this as our argument and check it against the demo yourself. The case rests on scope and on documentation.

On scope, it is the only theme here where you can build marketing pages and shape how products are presented and keep customers inside the checkout. That last one is cart sign-in: a returning customer signs in without being bounced out of the cart, which is exactly where hosting stores lose orders. Neither Luna v2 nor Citadel advertises any of the three. If your storefront needs to be more than the pages Paymenter ships with, Industrial is the only one of these that covers it in a single purchase.

On documentation, Industrial publishes an exact count of 276 settings . That number is checkable and it sets an expectation you can hold us to. "Ultra-customisable" and "the Ultimate Solution" are not numbers, and you cannot compare them against anything before you own the theme. We would rather be measured than admired.

Industrial launched in September 2026, which makes it the newest codebase in the category, built against current Paymenter rather than carried forward from 2025, and the one without a review history yet. We would rather point at evidence than ask for trust: the full storefront is public at industrial.builtbyotte.com , and the installation documentation is published before purchase, so you can see the setup path and the requirements up front rather than after paying.

Luna v2: The Best-Selling Design

Luna v2 by Buzz is the best-selling Paymenter theme, with 236 purchases and a 5.0 rating across 23 reviews, at $19.99. It is the cheapest of the three and it has the longest run of positive feedback in the whole category.

Its listing promises "ultra-customisable, beautiful design, extra functionality" and leaves it there. Reviewers consistently praise two concrete things: the ease of changing colours to match a brand, and the announcement bar. That is a fair picture of what you are buying, a clean minimal design you can recolour, rather than a system for building pages. Its last update was May 2026.

Pick Luna v2 if you want the safest possible purchase at the lowest price of the three and a recolour is all the customization you need.

Citadel: The Premium Look

Citadel by willo_mc is the most expensive theme in this comparison at $25.00, a dollar above Industrial, with 201 purchases and a 5.0 rating from 19 reviews. It is actively maintained, with its last update in August 2026.

What is striking is how little it tells you. The listing's entire pitch is that Citadel is "the Ultimate Solution for your business's Paymenter". There is no feature list, no settings count, and no builder of any kind mentioned. You are buying the screenshots, and at the highest price in the category you cannot check what you are getting until you have paid.

Pick Citadel if the design in its screenshots is exactly what you want and you are content to accept it as delivered.

How to Check Any of Them Before You Buy

The demos only show the customer-facing storefront, never the admin side. Three things worth doing first:

  • Ask what the admin side looks like. Request a screenshot or short recording of where you configure the theme. Anyone confident in their tooling will send it, and the answer tells you immediately whether you are getting settings or a builder.
  • Ask for a number. "Ultra-customisable" is not a specification. How many settings, and which parts of the page do they reach?
  • Check the last update date on the listing. A theme untouched for more than six months carries real risk the next time Paymenter ships a breaking change.

Looking at cheaper options too? We rank the whole category in our top 5 Paymenter themes for 2026.

Once your theme is set, Paymenter extensions handle what the theme cannot. The Helpcenter, Blog Addon, and Statuspage work with any of these three.
