Let customers renew a service for several billing periods at once, with your own discount tiers.
Description
A customer who wants to pay for a year up front cannot do it in Paymenter. They renew one period at a time, which means another invoice, another payment, and another chance to forget and let the service lapse.
RenewAhead lets them extend a service for several billing periods in one go, from the service page, and lets you reward the longer commitment with a discount.
What it does
- Renew several periods at once: the customer picks a term, sees the total and the new expiry date, and pays a single invoice.
- Your own discount tiers: set a discount per term, so 3, 6 and 12 periods can each carry their own percentage.
- Counts in real billing cycles: on a quarterly plan, 4 periods is a year, not four months.
- Applied on payment: the expiry date moves forward only once the invoice is actually paid.
- No double invoices: while an invoice for the service is open, a second renewal cannot be started.
- Eligibility rules: only active recurring services with a price above zero qualify, so one-time and free plans are left alone.
- Optional on suspended services: off by default, since a suspended service is extended from today.
- Admin overview: every advance renewal listed with the customer, the service, the term, the discount, the amount, and the status.
- Your wording: the page title, intro, button labels, and error messages are all configurable.
